Felix is a product system developed in response to the growing mental health challenges affecting contemporary society. Rather than framing mental health through symptoms or dysfunction, the project shifts focus towards maintenance, awareness, and the continuous regulation of inner states. The concept is grounded in an understanding of the nervous system as a central mediator between brain activity and emotional experience. Drawing on this perspective, Felix introduces the notion of neuro health, repositioning mental wellbeing as an active and learnable condition. The system is designed to interpret and visualise nerve activity while supporting the body’s natural signals and responses. Felix consists of two interconnected components: a wearable device, Felix Do, and a companion application, Felix Tell. Together, they enable continuous monitoring, gentle electrostimulation, and the presentation of neuro activity over time. A local machine learning system processes individual data in relation to a broader neurological framework, allowing the product to adapt to each user’s specific patterns and responses. The digital interface is defined by clarity and restraint. Information is presented in a structured and accessible manner, with an emphasis on transparency in both data collection and applied stimulation. Rather than overwhelming the user, the system aims to build understanding through gradual and consistent feedback. The visual identity reflects the physical and emotional dimensions of the body. A palette derived from reds, skin tones, and clot hues establishes a sense of warmth and immediacy. This is balanced by a logotype that conveys flow within a controlled and androgynous structure, introducing tension between precision and expression. Together, these elements position Felix as a system that operates between the biological and the experiential, supporting a more attentive and informed relationship to mental wellbeing.
